OK, so....blogging is not something that comes naturally to me. I keep thinking that I want to do it but it is not a habit yet. I think that it will end up being a fairly easy one to get into though. Especially once I figure out my camera. I am looking forward to putting pictures up. I think that will be my main focus. (That way I can really leave my laundry for another day).
Habits are funny though, I have caught right on to Pinterest. No problem at all! I really do enjoy that. It is fun and now I have SO many ideas. I feel so creative. :) I even found the Valentines the kids will hand out this year. I love Pinterest. It is as simple as that.
Healthy Habit's, on the other hand, are not so easy to begin or to keep. I started Live Healthy Hy-Vee this week. Every year I go on a diet. Every year, I lose some weight. I think that I am ready to finally keep it off. I have noticed that I am not in any pictures with my kids. The only pictures I have with my husband, I am drunk, at a bar. If you know me, you know that is not often! I stay away from the camera because I just don't look the way I think I do. I have a plan.
I have started this week by simply not eating quite as much. I am not buying a donut or a salty snack in the morning. I am choosing lunch with a protein (not fried) and at least one green veggie. My big challenge is not eating after 8:00pm. I will get there. I am also thinking that maybe I will start taking a picture of myself every week. That way, maybe I will be able to see my progress...
OK, kids are melting and Daddy's not liking it. I should go see if I can help out. Good night!

Who needs the Geek Squad
We were able to enjoy this awesome January weather! The kids got to take their bikes to Le Claire and ride them in the garage! Seriously, I have never seen a "winter" this nice. It was pretty cute. They must have logged at least a couple of miles in the little circle they were riding in! I caught them riding and singing on video. I missed them singing 'Red Solo Cup' but 'Old McDonald Had a Farm' was pretty sweet too. :)
More big news in the Leonard house...
Not only did we FINALLY get our first laptop this month; hence this new blog; we have also entered the world of Skype! For the last week we have been trying to Skype with my parents but it has not worked. Attempt number one, we could see us and not them. Neither of us could hear anything. Try number two - four, same thing. After the fourth try, I found out why they couldn't hear us. It turns out that the default setting for our microphone was not correct. I felt really techy at that point! I felt a lot less techy when during the sixth try, I figured out why we could not hear them either. Note to future self: when the default setting for one feature is wrong, you should probably check the rest of them. At the end of the day, we got to Skype with Nana and Grandpa Mac tonight! I loved it, the kids loved it and we will do it again soon.
One more challenge tonight: Operation pack Kiley's school lunch. So far, Aaron is a bit stressed. Poor guy, I better help out. ;P I promise babe, I do not try to make mornings tough on you. I will have everything set out and ready to go, before I leave for work! Good night, all. :)

Best Full Moon Ever

For my first blog ever, I am very happy to report that life is really good right now. If you are in the Quad City area, I hope you had the chance to see the moon tonight. It really is pretty amazing! I absolutely had to figure out how to post pictures here. It was cool enough, that I got the kids out of bed (they were still awake) to see. They were so excited to see the moon. They could have been more excited about being outside in their pajamas but I'm going to go with the moon. After all the excitement, it was really time to sleep. Kiley went, no problem at all. Brady, on the other hand was devastated when I didn't go with him. He absolutely insisted that he cuddle! So, he climbed up on my lap and in about 10.5 seconds was fast asleep. Oh darn...I have to cuddle with my sweet little man. :)
It was a long but productive day at work and a great evening at home. Now I am thinking about how cool it was that my husband scrubbed the kitchen and then even finished all of tonight's dinner dishes. There are a million things that need to be done around the house still. Where on earth should I start? While I sit with my little man sleeping in my lap and my husband sitting next to me, I think the carpets and Laundry can wait another day. I am going to enjoy the rest of the night...the mountain in front of the dryer will be there tomorrow.
